Apologies if I'm asking this in the wrong place, I don't see an ID forum specifically for soft corals. Anyway, I picked up this guy at my LFS, would like an ID:

Thanks!
Barry

yep, I think you've found it! Do you know if the name Duncan only applies to the aquacultured variety? If I found this in the wild, would it be called a Giant Green Polyp or a Duncan? Thank you!

+1 on Duncan. I target feed it w/Brine shrimp maybe twice/month. I place it on moderate flow and light.

Good to know, thanks. I've been feeding it almost daily with coral food (oyster eggs & oyster tissue), after a month it is starting to grow new 'buds', I'm assuming these will become new polyps, but right now they just look like bumps/growths.

Ok, I'm really starting to get ticked off at my LFS. I asked them to show me a good SPS for a beginner and they sold me a dragon eyes zoa. I asked them to show me a good softie for a beginner and they sold me a Duncan LPS. At least when I asked them to show me a good LPS for a beginner, they sold me an Acan. Please tell me an Acan is an LPS! LOL!

I mean, I'm not too ticked off, I love all of them and wouldn't have purchased them otherwise. The guy's English is very broken, I guess he can't understand it any better than he can speak it. AND I should probably stop telling him I'm a beginner. :P
