Just a pic of a down and dirty bucket qt for a 12 hour treatment.
(1) 5 gal bucket
(1) 25W heater
(1) nano hydor
(1) air pump/air stone
(1) piece of plastic net (to keep fish in)
(1) bungee cord (around the bucket to hold the netting.

There you have it a quick and easy QT

I do the same thing. When treating a fish, siphon out the detritus/uneaten food from the bottom of the bucket daily, top off with fresh saltwater and dose meds if needed. I typically remove one restaurant-sized soda cup worth of water when siphoning and that’s exactly what I use to replace it with. Thank you San Diego zoo for making the absolute perfect cup for this.

I do the same thing as well for QT. Instead of netting I just lay a quick snap lid over the top. I wasn’t sure if not letting any light into it messes up the fish though... some part of me also thinks that the darkness will calm the fish too.

Using the bucket QT method, I find it difficult to feed the fish without dirtying the water in the bucket too much. How do you do this @Frtdrmrose7 ?

If I feed in the bucket I feed very small amounts that are eaten right away. I have two QT tanks I use but I use this setup if I need to do a specific treatment on fish. Like this is a 12 hour fenbendazole bath for Prazi resistant flukes.
