Any good recommendations for a decent hob skimmer?
The tank is a 44gal corner tank. No room for sump under tank, but i have one set up (but not in use) beside the tank.

Should i get a hob overflow and run this eshopps sump and skimmer?
.
.
Or should i ditch the sump and just get a hob skimmer?

I would go with the HOB overflow as you will have better skimmer options with a sump. And adding more water volume is a plus, along with a place for your heater and your ato to go besides directly in the tank.

I was going to use everything u see. The eshopps sump and psk150 skimmer. I also have a jeabo 6000 return pump. But im kinda worried about having a hob overflow with these nice hardwood floors...

A lot of the newer ones aren't like the older ones from what I have been reading. But I have not used one

If you wanted an HOB skimmer, I think the AquaC Remora is a better option.

However....

Sell what you have.....and check this out for $213:
Tunze Comline® Reefpack 250
csm_0250.000_35be355c41.jpg

Gives you a skimmer and media filter module in one kit.

The filter module has internal space/mounts for your heater (which can be smaller now that it's in a powered shell) as well as ATO sensor.

Slick as snot – and no risk to your floors! :)

bubble magus nac3.5 or the chinese version from amazon/ebay; sca 301.

i'm using a sca301 and it pulls out a thick skimmate, couldn't be happier!
