Need advice on return pump

Like the title says, I'm in the market looking for a return pump for my 40b. I plan on using the gl*******s.com 700gph over flow and have 2 pumps that I am considering. I can't decide between the
1. Eheim 1260
2. Quietone 3000

I have heard great things about the eheim 1260 but is it really worth the extra money.
I like the quietone 3000 because of the price and I have heard some good and bad about it and the energy consumption looks like it's half of the eheim.

Has anyone ever used any of two. The top of the tank will be right at 4ft.

The Ehiem is worth every penny. I ran a 1260 on my old 100gl, and now run a 1262 on my new 246gl. You will not find a more efficient or dependable pump than the Ehiem. I have a 1262 that has been running for 6 years on my Deltec Skimmer, and I've never had any problems.

i have the QO3000 and it works like a champ but there is this slight hum to the pump that is driving me crazy. Im looking for a used eheim 1260 now but if i dont find one in a month ill bite the bullet and order a new one.

I have a Ehiem 1260 for my 75. I've only had it 3 months, but can't complain so far. It runs very quiet and has plenty of flow for me.

Both are great pumps... Quiet ones are actually made by sicce who make great pumps just like ehiem... I think you would be happy with either one IMHO...

Look up the water blaster by Reef Octopus. I think those work great and the power consumption is low.

I have eheims on all my tanks. They will cost you a bit more up front but you'll pay less in the long run. I have a 1060 (the model that the 1260 replaced) that I've had for 20 years.
