Hi guys, i've got a 220v smart switch like in photo. I have tried to run it on 12v because i would like to connect the wavemaker to it to control them via wifi.

On 12v all seems to work properly (goes on/off and wifi works). Load would be 2A 12v max

Any idea what could be wrong in running it on 12v instead of 220v?

How are you verifying it goes on and off?
are you connecting a device like a pump or light?

yes, i am connecting a 12v 1.76A led light strip.
If the light goes on and off, then you are lucky.
I would not think a device designed to be powered by 220vac will operate with 12 vdc.
We dont know the internals, whether relays or solid state.
Except for S1 and S2, which are relays

At that load you should be fine. The reason you do not usually (shouldn’t) use DC on an AC switch is arcing. At the 1600w the switch is rated for, it would burn out very quickly with DC current.

RIB “Relay In a Box,” will operate off of multiple voltages. Used them for years, in the Commercial HVAC Industry, with very few failures. I use one on my Wet Cell Battery Power Fail system, to start 12Vdc Pumps, so I have some water movement.

That Particular Relay, will operate off of multiple voltages. We carried three to four on our truck, covered every applicatio, and had the indicator lamp, to tell use it was working.
