Ive put together a loose mockup in schedule 40 but will use sched 80 for final plumbing.

Looking for feedback on fluid dynamics not quality of materials, etc.

1. I will remove the slope from the return line in the final iteration.
2. I dont want to rely on any sort of check valve on my return manifold, so dont worry about that. Thank you.

Im no plumbing expert but looks cleanly put together to me. Lot better than mine. I just redid mine and there was more purple primer visible than white pvc.

Edit, just read it was mock-up, so disregard my purple note, but still looks better than mine

For what's it's worth, BRS did a video on the head loss of 90° fittings vs 45° and found virtually no difference. If you wanted you could roll with 90s all the way around. Aside from maybe one gate valve on your manifold for more fine tuned flow options for reactors and what not, looks great to me:)

Thanks for the input. I have a gate valve on my siphon drain as part of my herbie style drain. Do i need one somewhere else? They're wickedly expensive

I wouldn't say you "Need" one but they do come in handy when you want to get JUST the right amount of flow through a reactor or UV Sterilizer. So one might come in handy down the road. For my last Manifold the first fitting off the "T"s was a union, then I could swap valves or hard plumb or soft plumb whatever I wanted into it whenever I felt like it :)

The head loss occurs when you run a 1.25 pump into 3/4 returns. i run 1.25 return all the way with spa pipe,
