Need fish ideas for a 40g breeder

I'm in the planning stages of a 40g build and need some ideas for fish who will be happy in this size tank. I'll definitely do a pair of clowns (I've had clowns in my 12g nanos for years and adore them. What else could I put in there? It will be a reef tank so no coral nippers. Thanks in advance for your help!

Possible additions would include yellow assessor, swales basslet, royal gramma, flame hawk, sunburst anthias, fridmani dottyback, zebra dartfish, firefish.
