Hey all, so this morning I lost my wwc punk tip frag. I
Something knocked it down and now I cant find it. It was glued to a large piece of live rock. I've lost a few frags this way, last month lost a jf flame the same way. I started gluing my frags to large pieces of rubble rock. Any tips on strong glue or epoxy you guys use to avoid this ???

I’ve had good luck with the gel superglue-epoxy putty-superglue sandwich. Don’t be shy with the glue on the rock side.

I used the putty that you smash together for a while and had the same issues. From there I just bought the reef glue that my LFS sells and it works much better. The putty just wouldn't stick to my frags

I work at the company that makes the two part smash together stuff and the guy who formulated it told me he would never use it for a fishtank. It is sold to fix leaking pipes PVC or metal. only recently I have seen in LFS. I see many people use it and it does fine I just stay away from it. Just some food for thought.

I use gorilla gel super glue and JB water weld in the glue/epoxy/glue sandwich. I have to be careful to place frags where I want them because there is zero chance of moving them in the future.

I put Gorilla glue super glue gel (most gel super glues should work).
Knead a ball of epoxy (I use two little fishies brand). Put super glue on epoxy ball and stick that down in aquarium.
Then I push the frag plug (after cutting post off) or frag onto the epoxy which creates an indention.
Then glue the frag or coral and place back in the impression.

I dry the base of the frag with paper towel, put a glob of superglue on it, then the putty epoxy ball, then a bunch of superglue. I then put the pumps on feed mode, and press the frag into the rock.

I use a combo of gel superglue and epoxy. Basically the frag is glued to the epoxy and the epoxy is glued to frag plug, or wherever it is being mounted.

This. I use either superglue gel or gorilla glue gel from home depot for the glue.

Basically I use a modified version of what you see in the video.
Works well for me.

Thanks for this!

Had to watch the video 3 times. First time I was dancing to the music. Second I was trying to understand what he was saying. Third time it "stuck". Pun intended. ;)
