Starting a 125g mixed reef (newer aqueon tank) plumbed through wall into filtration closet to a triton 44 sump. I don't generally send a ton of flow through my sump. I have used the Synergy shadow overflows and liked them, but think it's overkill on this system considering cost. Any recommendations? So far I am looking at the eshopps eclipse 800 gph or prodigy 700 gph. One concern I have is the water line showing with my lower flow rate and the big rim on the aqueon tank. I would prefer to drill just 1 hole for the drain. I will be using a jebao dcp 4000 for return pump.

I have multiple Eshopps overflows and they are solid, but not especially quiet. If you go that route, I would suggest that you consider upgrading to the 1200 instead of the 800 which will give you more flexibility with the flow rate of the return pump. Good luck with whatever you choose!
