Need help converting RODI to just RO

Just found out my towns water is unsafe for human consumption. Can’t even use it to brush my teeth. Is it possible to make drinking water with it, it is a BRS 4 stage, without having to purchase more equipment?

Very easy, just T the line right before the DI. A T in that spot and you got good water. I would add a drinking kit when you can.

BRS sells the “kit”. But you can probably get parts at HD, Lowes, True value.

Just collect water before it goes unto the DI, very simple.

Are they collecting from the river? I figured where you are it would be a well.

If you didn't need the 'DI' bit at all, I would guess that you could just remove the DI filter.

But I second adding a T before the DI filter. If you wanna be real fancy, throw in a valve on each outflow of the T so you can divert the full flow either way.

Would highly recommend a drinking kit too. Mine came with one, the tank holds about 2.5 gallons. More than enough for most requirements.
