Hey guys,

I am about ready to throw myself through a window looking for a small quiet return pump for this little 10 gallon all in one tank I just got.

I'm looking for a pump that is around 150gph or so, but more importantly than that, it needs to be SILENT.

This tank is going to be about 3 feet from where I sit on the couch to watch TV and I don't want a constant hum or drone noise while I'm watching tv.

The hard part though is that since this is going in the return section of a all in one tank, I am very limited on space.

The return pump section of the built in filter is L85mm x W55mm (L3.25" x W2.25")

Ideally I would like a DC pump that is controllable, but I haven't been able to find anything that is controllable that fits in that space....

So I just need a super small extremely silent pump...

Thanks for any help!

This used to be called minijet 606, same pump, new name. They were extremely popular for fluvals. That would be my go to for any tight space.

I have been looking at changing out my stock pump and from what I read sicce pumps are the way to go.

For your size sicce .5 likely the best bet.

I don't see the pump's dimensions listed but I think this is basically made for AIOs:

I found THE pump, the one and only on the planet, this is for posterity for anyone who stumbles across this post in the future.

I ended up getting the Jebao DC650 DC pump. It is a controllable DC mini pump with a rated max flow of 178gph with a footprint of just 2.5″ x 1.5″ x 2.3″ (LWH).

I couldn't find ANYTHING on this pump other than the product page from " www . fish tank direct . com ". I ordered one and will do a full review of it when I get it in. Most likely on my youtube page which I will link to on this thread when it's done.

I expect it to be the perfect little pump for my 10 gallon all in one tank.

I hope it works for you! The thing must be adorable. Please do report back here once you have it running. I had tried a Jebao (larger size) and had bad luck - it couldn't maintain a steady flow rate.
