Hi all-

Hoping to get some advise here. On October 1st I bought a 2" Goldflake Angel. Before going into QT I used Safety Stop. Formalin (Part A) for 45min then and Methylene Blue (Part B) for another 45min. She handled it like a champ. After that she was put in a 10g QT with no other treatments for the next two weeks. She's has been eating everything from black worms to Masstick with Metro, focus, vitamin C in it and frozen brine shrimp.

On October 13th I noticed some very tiny white spots so I decided to add CP into the tank. The CP was added on Oct 15th. On Oct 17th I noticed a very faint red line on both sides that is above the lateral line and below the Dorsal Fin. She continues to eat everything and as not lost appetite and is still swimming normally. Ammonia is zero according to the Seachem badge. Is this red line on both sides a concern?

Sorry I've been at work. I don't have any experience with Gold Flakes, but it's a beauty!!

When I see red streaks/marks like that I think infection. Using an antibiotic like Kanaplex or Furan2 for a minimum of 10 days or longer if the redness hasn't cleared up before then. If it clears up in less than 10 days, finish the time out with the med. Don't stop early. I believe you can combine either of these with CP. Did you get medical grade CP from a pharmacy?

Thanks for the reply. Yes medical grade CP. I will get those meds and follow up with an update. Greatly appreciated.
