Need Help identify whats on the torch stem

I noticed this clear blob on the stem of this torch not sure if it’s a sponge or some algae bacteria. The tentacles seem to be fine currently.

Any feedback is appreciated.

2 questions- do you dip your corals? And has it moved from its spot since?
