I need some help identifying this stuff I have in my tank. Probably the most commonly asked question in the aquarium hobby. My tank has been plagued with this for the past 5-6 months and I can't really figure out what it is. At first I thought it was hair algae as it started out as white hairs all over my rocks which then became slimy and brown thats chunky so then i thought it was cyanobacteria and i tried treating with chemiclean and it didn't help. I also have been dosing with stability and pristine and that has not helped either. I finally bought a microscope so I could better see what was infesting my tank. And these we're the results. From what I've looked at all over the internet it's looks like dinos but I'm also thinking it could be chrysophytes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
