Guys need some help and suggestion

I am currently having some fishes in my 30 gallon Quarantine.

Currently with Cupramine -0.5 mg. Due to bacterial infection had to add Furan-2 + Kanaplex and Metroplex

Please advise.

My Mimic and blue tang has Lesions on their body. Initial stage. Please let me know if they are bacterial infection and if my meds are appropriate.

Started treating on Sunday -1/17 with Furan 2 + Metro + Kana .

Metronidazole won't treat aerobic bacteria. Kanaplex is under-dosed 17-fold.

Neoplex may help too if you have tried that. From what I understand, you want as broad of an antibiotic treatment as you can get. I am not a diseases expert but I'm interested in following this thread.

Still I don't see much recovery. Not sure what else I can add. Currently doing Furan 2 + Kanaplex and Metro.

Any suggestions

Antibiotics, even when properly chosen (and all we can really do is make educated guess) take 3 to 5 days to slow the infection, and often 7 days to see improvement. Are you positive you are chasing a bacterial infection?

Jey - Thanks for your response. Below are the images. Please see and let me know if it's bacterial. I thought it bacterial infection.

Ok, I can see the lesion now. That could be bacterial, it could be fungal, and it may even be scarring from a healed lesion. Is it growing in size?
The fish does look a bit skinny, so maybe increase the number of feedings per day?

Yes the lesion started to appear on the head now. Previous lesion is not increasing in size. Also as I added erithromycin , it destroyed my good bacteria, so struggling with Nitrite spikes.

On a daily basis changing water about 50%, adding kanaplex , Metroplex to compensate the loss.

Couldn't add prime as I added Cupramine initially and afraid to do despite water changes.

Just watch your ammonia, nitrite is not toxic to marine fish, it can go a 100 times higher than what will kill a freshwater fish with no issues...ammonia is a different issue.

Oh that's something new to learn today. Ok so I will leave chasing nitrite. Currently shows 1ppm. But ammonia is controlled and less than 0.25. I will do water changes once in 2 days then.

So do you think I should do anything different? Than Furan 2 + Kanaplex + Metro.

Also added 5 ml of melafix to 30 gallon QT.

Also fishes are breathing heavily. Lowered my salinity as well so that it helps . Currently at 1.023.

@Jay Hemdal Wanted to give you an update. Was able to eradicate the bacteria using Kanaplex. My Mimic tangs are good now. As of now in Prazi Pro treatment.

But lost 2 fishes while in QT. Pearl scale butterfly and Bi Color Angel(Didn't eat for 3 weeks and starved to death)
But learnt from the loss which is the positive i am taking and saved Mimic Tang, Sailfin, Flame Hawkish, Fox Face.

Need your help !! My Blue Hippo sometime flashes, Very skinny. Its stomach side is pale in color and skinny. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am feeding mysis, calanus, nori, with Selcon, Garlic along with Kanaplex and Focus in food.

How long have you been feeding kanaplex in focus? Dosing that is really tricky, and long term antibiotic use ca disrupt the gut microbiome.
Is this fish feeding well? If so, you should increase the food amount and frequency.

I stopped feeding kanaplex in food a week before as I read it may affect kidney on long term. So only feeding Nori sheet and Mysis . It's eating Mysis and fish eggs. But still skinny.

@Jay Hemdal As said earlier, My QT fishes are doing now except for the blue tang. It looks skinny. It's not eating nori. After Prazi pro dose it way too better. But still worried on why it's not consuming any food. Any thoughts.

I can't see clearly, but there seems to be some discoloration and skin disruption in the abdominal area, do you have any clue as to what is happening there?

I've had small hepatus tangs pretty much refuse nori, so I'm not worried about that, but on Sunday you said it was eating mysis and fish eggs, but now you say it isn't eating any food? If it is still eating mysids and fish eggs still, you should increase the amount and frequency of feedings - don't allow food to go uneaten and foul the tank, but feed 3x a day, as much as the tang will consume. If it is not longer feeding at all, then of course that is very serious as you can't force it to eat, all you can do is try to determine what is wrong that is keeping it from eating and then correct that problem.
