Need help picking a skimmer

I got a 40 breeder from petco during the sale ($40) and some glass cut I think was another 30. You can just make exactly what you want that way and no noisy crap :)

I don’t think biomedia out of the water like that is even worth it or standard anymore.

I was thinking about doing that, but then I remembered I have a Ginormous bag of Poly-Fil. I think Ill just stop the waterfall with that, it also turns out that I cant remove the sump from the stand when the tank is on the stand. I have my skimmer (would tell you what I got but I might get judged lol, PetSmart was just too close by, I'm judging myself ;Shamefullyembarrased).

Now I just need to find an ATO that has a proper leak detector included. Fun story, I am filling the tank right now, I decided to take the 15G of water from my QT tank to use in the new and I drained 10G to my floor (because I am brilliant). I cannot imagine what 75G+ would do to a floor when 10G is that much of a problem.

A bit to be sure, but as far as mechanical filtration goes, poly-fil is kind of great stuff(ing)! If all goes terribly wrong I can always build a new sump and then break that one until I can remove it haha!
