Need help to ID these crab looking things on my glass!

Hey guys!

Noticed these on all over my glass today, white looking spots, about the size of a small grain of sand, thought it was some sort of copepod but I’ve never seen this type before!
Please help to ID!

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
