Hi everyone

Tank has been up since start of year, did a restart mid-year removing all sand after letting the tank go (kept rocks). I do a 4g (30%) WC every other week. ALK is steady 9.2-9.5, but my NO3 went to 0 a month ago. My PO4 is at 0.07 and holds around there. Using Hanna testers.

I just added more Astraea snails (10 total now) and they're eating but moving slow.

Chamber 1: Floss, Chemipure Elite
Chamber 2: GKM mini UV (new addition few days ago)
AI Light Schedule: Saxby
AI Nero 3: 25-50% random

I feel like this is not GHA because it's tough to pull out? What is it? I don't think its Byropsis based on its look... I've tried tooth brush, I tried hydrogen peroxide outside of the tank, I tried feeding less. Any other recommendations? Debating MicroBacter7 and/or MicroBacter Clean. Should I reduce my lighting? fluconazole? I only have LPS with two clowns but they all seem very happy.

Recently I got this new algae which looks like a roundish leaf and seems to be more sticky, shown in the upper right of the first picture...

Thanks!

Zero nitrates is not a good thing. After 50 years of reefing, I don’t test anymore. I suggest you keep nitrates above 10 ppm.

What is known as "Green Turf Algae" in the hobby is really a generic name given to hundreds of different species of macroalgae that describe certain similar characteristics. They are coarse, wiry, and generally have thicker wider blades than Green Hair Algae. They may or may not have a mat like root structure, sometimes they just seem to sprout from the rock.
