Need help with dosing

I have my alk at the place i like it but my calc and magnesium is low. What ml and times a day can i dose to bring those two up to desired levels?

Alk: 8.6dkh
Calc: 230--- desired is 430 (Need 526.1 ml to reach it)
Magnesium: 1230-----desired is 1440 (Need 1105ml to reach it)

That math doesn’t sound right. What test kit are you using? What brand of dosing chemicals? What salt do you use?

i personally run alk at night with soda ash which increases pH as my tank run lower pH at night so its helps balance. Then cal in morning and mag at anytime in between.
Make sure not to increase cal by 50ppm per day and mag by 100

Using hanna and salifert for testing and red sea ABC+ for dosing. Salt is red sea coral pro

Figure out your tanks consumption. Dose 1.5 the consumption each day till its at the desired level then drop dosing to the consumption level

Red sea abc+ (liquid) and it's a 139g system

For calcium red sea liquid foundation A would be 132ml to raise it by 50ppm.

For mag RS foundation C will be 537ml to raise it up by 100ppm

These numbers does not compensate for daily consumption. So when you dose and test next day parameters may not have risen by 50ppm or 100ppm on cal and mag respectively.

You will need to dose mag at that ml daily for 2 days which will put you hopefully around 1420-1440 range.
For calcium you will need to dose that ml for 4 days and should be about 420-440 range.

Okay :) and that would be split into hourly intervals? Dividing the doses to be x amount per hour?

These figures are really odd considering the products your using[emoji53] redsea coral Pro has pretty accurate compounds to what they state on the bucket. And with only such few corals it's unusual for the params to drop that fast. Have you used RS coral Pro from the get go.

I to had struggled with keeping the 3 elements up when I started with instant ocean reef crystals. Once I changed to RS coral Pro after about 3 water changes they are very very stable. I am dosing now but was also dosing with the IO, just seems to be needed less with the RS. Very strange. But good advice and calculations given here so your all set.

Oh I haven't dosed anything:) all those numbers are based on water changes. I'm now using the red sea additives to get to desired levels :) and ive only used coral salt pro from the beginning

Would it be okay if i do 8 doses a day for these doses?

I do not believe that calcium value.

If you haven't dosed anything, and your alk is in range, there is no way your Ca is 230 ppm. Take a water sample to your fish store and have them double check your numbers. Also, use your Ca kit to test your newly made up saltwater.
