Need help with fish stocking!!

I’m really anxious to finalize my stocking for my one year old Waterbox 50.3.

Right now in the tank I have two established Ocellaris clowns and an Orchid Dottyback.

I’m running a skimmer and do weekly 10% water changes. This is what I have planned but nothing official. I’m avoiding wrasses and a lot of similar fish or hawkfish due to the amount of small snails and inverts I don’t want harmed.

2x Ocellaris Clownfish
1x Orchid Dottyback
3x Zebra Dartfish
2x Pajama Cardinals
1x Chalk Bass
1x Diamond Goby
1x Canary Blenny

I should also note I run a skimmer and have a lid too for any jumping concern. Really want to get going on this so any feedback is appreciated!!

Your dottyback is probably going to be an issue, mean little fish! They act like they are the size of an emperor angel lol. I think the list is fine otherwise! Might have to put the dottyback in an acclimation box so the other fish can settle, but those little buggers are so fast and small so if you cant for sure use an acclimation box for any of the new fish!

Mine has been fine for 4 years but little tough on new fish.

I recently tried the mirror trick when adding a new fish and it worked excellent also.

Basically you put a mirror on the side of the tank so they attack their own reflection be ause they think its another fish like them and they forget about the new edition and let it settle in. Its. Trick commonly used on tangs since they can be AHs to other new fish and tangs!

That’s interesting. I’ll give that a go!

I’ll have to do this soon since I’ll be adding them before corals

I had an established coral beauty but wanted to add a flame angel. I added the fish and the coral beauty pummeled it. I placed a 12x12 inch mirror right in the front middle of my tank. All the fish became mesmerized and the aggression stopped. 3 days later the neighborhood was in perfect harmony.

I had no clue that they were this aggressive! My guy at the LFS was helping me pick out fish today & im sure you could guess what i got... once acclimated & in the tank she was on everyones ****! jumped from one fish to another. I even got my net in there and tried to shoo it away... would take her back tmrw but there's no way in heck that I will be able to catch it.
