So I’m currently running 4 kessil 360x with reflectors to get par to the bottom of the tank
Tank is 72x30x30
I thought I had ok par until I measured today

These are taken with a parwise meter and with the lights at their peak intensity of my lighting schedule

Can someone help me tailor my lighting schedule and or suggestions

What corals do you plan to keep- and what PAR levels are you looking for? Best way for you is to make up your mind on those two questions and tune your lights up accordingly and re-measure! :relieved-face: The only thing that anyone can really tell you from this is to turn up your lights to 100% and see what you get.

Wee bit surprised that you don't get more from 80% on your Kessils.

If you don't get the high PAR you're looking for, supplementary lights may be required.

Alternatively, play around with the lenses that you have on two of the lights; point them to where you want more intensity :)

All 4 have lenses 2 are narrow and 2 ultra narrow. Problem is the ultra narrow give me good par on a tiny spot and leaves the rest of the 30” depth practically unlit

I haven’t been running the lights to 100% but looks like I will have to aswell as supplement

Goal is a solid mix reef
Sps ect

First time going full led without a canopy it will be hard to run t5 supplements cleanly on the hanging rms bar

You won't be keeping SPS in the low par. LPS and softs will be ok.

i was asking for a solution to bring the par up higher. I’m contemplating adding 3 additional lights to be able to take the 35° off and gain more spread while maintaining a higher par thru the entire tank with less super low par areas.

I’m going to remeasure tomorrow I bumped my peak %

Anyone who runs kessils with sps can you share your program?

You have a beautiful tank and I like kessils a lot but they have their limitations. Since you already have the overhang why not move to a T5 LED hybrid and be able to sustain any coral at all that you want in your tank?

Have to have it looking presentable no retrofit or anything like that as this tank is the first thing you see when you walk into the front door of the house and the living room is showcasing it

There are very sleek looking combinations. You just have to research it a bit and maybe some will chime in here and show their overhang set ups.
