Hello everyone!

After two decades of pining after a saltwater tank I'm finally working up the nerve to try it out.

I'm aiming for a macro algae dominant tank with some easy to keep corals. I'd love to keep a Firefish and a Benggai Cardinal at the very least.

I'm looking at two different 20g penninsula tanks- The IM Fusion Pro 2 and the UNS 90LA.

Asking for anyone who has experience with these tanks- what did you like/dislike about them? I'm planning on getting new pumps, filters, etc.

I originally posted on the reef tank reddit, but the answers I received were off topic and mostly people telling me that I should start with a larger tank- hoping that the responses here are from people who actually read more than the title.

I have very limited space so I cannot choose a larger tank.

Anyway here's a collage of fish that I like- I'm not expecting to fit all of these into a 20g, I know that's way too many- just an idea of what I'm hoping for down the line when I have more room for a tank. Thank you in advance for you replies :)

I have not run this type of tank but many people on here do, I’m sure they will chime in, good luck!

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

#WelcometoR2R

I've never owned a UNS, but I've had several of the small IM desktops including a couple ten gallons, two 15 gallons, one 25 gallon, and a 40 gallon non-AIO - all are excellent tanks, in my opinion 🙂

Good luck!
