For some reason I'm terrible at figuring out plumbing lol. So I have some questions since this is only the 2nd tank I've drilled and plumbed myself. I'm looking for a ball valve or gate valve in schedule 40 and my return requires 3/4" tubing. So do I Oder 3/4" ball valves or 1"? I need 3/4" to slip inside the ball valve. Does 3/4" slip into 1" or 3/4" into 3/4"? This probably sounds like a dumb question but I tried at Lowes and it was hard to get anything to fit right lol.

Below is a link to what I'm looking at...do I buy 1" or 3/4"? Thanks for the help!

Thank you for the help! So I'll assume if I'm ordering 3/4" slip that 3/4" will fit inside the ends of the ball valve. Thanks again!
