Depends on temperatures and total shipping duration. You will certainly void any arrive alive guarantee.

Now, I don't know at what time during the day your fish would normally arrive! Lets assume it's mid afternoon (15:00). You won't be home until 23:00 - that's an additional 8 hours. Everything in me tells me that it will probably be just fine - but would I recommend it? Nope.. Would i do it myself? Nope.. :)

Can you have the delivery date changed? Or have someone take delivery for you?

Unsure how it is in Switzerland- don't you have any local fish shops where you can just pop in and buy a fish? :)

If they have 7 minutes and 38 seconds, then this video tells them all they need to know :) It's not too hard..

Just explain to them in which tank you want them to add the fish (quarantine- or observation I suppose?)

Just have them float for 10 minutes to temp acclimate and then add them to the tank.

For a really small cardinal is it fine not to drip acclimate?
Yes, should be fine. Drip acclimation of shipped fish is dangerous. As soon as you open the bag a chemical reaction with the air converts the non toxic ammonia to toxic ammonia.
