Need help with swapping my pump out

I have a aquatop 40 aio tank and my pump started to fail so I upgraded to the sicce silent pump 2.0. When I went to set the pump up, the hose was too small. I think the aquatop comes with 1/2” hose and the sicce pump requires 3/4” if I’m not mistaken. What’s the best way to make this work? If I swap the hose then I also have to change the elbow connecting to the power head.

The pump came with two of these adapters but they’re the same size. But on the Amazon description page it shows two different sizes.

Sounds like it was boxed wrong. Try contacting sicce and tell them what's going on, they may just send you a new fitting. Otherwise head to your local hardware store, they should have pvc threaded barb fittings you can use in a pinch

Is the adapter you have now too small or too large? It's hard to discern from your post. If not, any big box home improvement store sell what you need.

The adapter is large. My hose won’t fit over the connection. I even heated it under hot water and it’s just too tough to get on there.

I returned the pump and reordered a new one. Same thing. They sent the same size adapters…
