Hi all... loving this post just done a rescape on the left hand side and will downsize the righ hand side tomorrow. Would love some input about the left

The left side looks great. Lots of places for fish to hide if needed. Good for keeping stress levels down in your fish. Good job. Make sure to post when you do the other side.

I’m unsure if there are people still actively helping people on this thread but I’ll put my tank. I’m about to get corals later this week. I have glued all the rock together and have loose rocks I can glue down/make islands/throw in back chamber of Biocube or I can break bonds if necessary. Here’s my tank:

Only one concern. The rock structure on the right looks very close to the side glass and might be a bit high for corals if you're planning on putting some there. Make sure you have enough room to get in there and clean between rocks and glass. Other than that, it looks good.

Thanks very much, still need to do the right hand side. It is way too close to the glass and I completely agree with being too high. Going to remove some of the rock and lower it quite a bit

I have a couple questions

im setting up a lagoon type tank its 90cmx28x28cm (35x11x11in ) . I won a light on a instragram comp thats 90cm ( 3ft long ) and 5cm (2in) wide .
for filter im keeping it pretty basic with a bubble magus qq1 protein skimmer and will be adding some polyfilter to that . I also have Jeabo sw-2 wavemaker .
Im thinking of just 2 or 3 island from marco rock and fine sand
between my 2 little tanks that will be moved into new tank I have 2 clowns (bubble tip ) ,azure damsel and would like a goby for the sand level (maybe with shrimp buddy) . corals I have 2 hammers , torch , toadstoll leather , 3 lord howe acan , 3 duncan . 2 zoas '

first question how high should the rock get to water level besides if i make a peak that goes just gets out water

main question is on water flow with my set up .Im thinking of putting all my equipment in the one area to make rest of tank look more clean . thinking of 2 options .
1st one is put the skimmer in one corner , heater next to intake and wavemaker next to return pushing water along the long part of the tank . build the rock up in front of it to hide equipment when looking at it from the front and 1 or 2 smaller rock island in rest of tank

other option is to put skimmer in middle of the tank at back . have heater next to intake and wavemaker next to return pushing water away from skimmer . build the rock up in front of all the equipment in the middle with a smaller island each side

which of these 2 set up would be the better water flow for the tank

Appreciate feedback on this aquascape before it gets hard to change. Tank is 60" x 60" x 24"(set 2.25" into the stand) and will have a couple inches of tropic eden reef flakes.
*left side arch position look ok? It is about 6" from the glass on the left side and back about as far as I can go.
the rock piles on the right are planned to be two big bommies that I will make with more rock from my current tank. *trying to figure out the footprint for those. not sure on the height I will go on them.

love the dimensions of this tank. So much depth and lot of aquascape possibilities. Somethings I might do:
- move the rocks so that it's not so evenly spread out. Maybe have a 1/4 section of open space with no/minimal rocks. or have an U shaped arc with some negative space in the middle of tank.
- have some variance in height. maybe a small area with taller rocks almost touching water surface. another section with very short rocks.

Looks pretty good as is!

Really like this look! Wonder how it would look if you were to rotate the left structure so that it doesn't touch the right side?

Hello,
Can you give me suggestion for my 55gallon? This is running for 6 months. I am planning just to put LPS and softies.

Thanks for the inputs! I spent about 9 hours moving corals and rocks yesterday. Trying to keep the water chemistry consistent. Have not mounted a single coral, just cleaning them up and dropping them somewhere. I have a third of the old aquascape still to tear down still and running out of room and time. Will try to get something working that I can adjust later.

Thinking of gluing up this island on the front right side. Trying to keep the height low for sps. I could push it back more but trying to get that canyon look in the middle although more negative space would look nice. Not sure on the height difference on the right side aquascape. Is taller in the back island going to look better or maybe loose the canyon effect?

Kinda regretting doing a floating reef. I havent brought the scape down low enough so there is a lot of negitive space below that can be used.
