That looks like an aberrant bristletooth to me but the mouth is necessary for ID :)

I am almost positive it is an acanthurus tang. The seller told me it was acanthurus species. But who believes everything someone says lol
hmmm, I am no tang expert lol but I don't see too much resemblance. But then again, it might be more recognizable in person.

This one is coming to. This one is def a koi scopas, however I was told because it has bright yellow and not the typical light tan/gold it was much more rare? Thoughts

I think you are correct on this. But when I get it I will post better pics. How rare would it be ford?
I've only seen one other in photos-- for what it's worth I look at tangs a lot so if that's the case it's a really uncommon fish! I've seen pretty much everything! :D

Anyway you could post the pic of the one you have seen?
When I posted that I got to thinking about where I saw it. It wasn't on this forum it was a Facebook group I'm almost positive and the person said it was a "new species". I want to say it was a white tail. In fairness, it wasn't that pretty it was pretty ugly and drab. Dark around the belly and normal elsewhere.

I'm really hoping what I'm receiving turns out to be a piebald acanthurus
