I think BRS did a chromis schooling tank.. Or at least talked about it on a video.. I'd love to know how often they top off the school.. sounds like it would get expensive fast lol

No, they are easy to feed.

I love butterfly's. Something about the bodyshape of the tangs, butterflies, and angels are just awesome.. I didnt know about the pyramid or the genicanthus angel! Maybe I'll make one of those my "centerpiece" fish :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

On the copperband, I have one in my tank he's year and a half now never had an issue. I tried one from an online store didn't make it a week, came in skinny. I started going to the LFS and found one that attacked the food as soon as it hit the tank. Bought it and never had an issue. He was added to the tank first when I did a upgrade.

Tangs are so popular that I think we don’t talk enough about the other fish.

The pyramids can be kept in pairs or trios.

The male and female angels have different appearance, they can be kept in pairs or they also change sex like clowns, so some people do it that way, a large and a small female and feed well to encourage the large to turn male.

Definitely some options out there.

Hmm.. I do love a copperband.. I just heard so many horror stories but they are a beautiful fish. Do you have corals?

As far as copperbands go, I have one but it only eats live worms. You can culture live white worms using potting soil. So it’s possible to keep the picky ones going but a pain in the butt. Usually they eventually take something else.. this one is really trialing me though.

They are more reef safe than others but one did get returned to the LFS for eating their coral so it happens.

I tried a yellow long nose and it definitely ate coral.

You think a pair of pyramids in a 4' 120g would work? Obviously my stocking list would have to accommodate the bioload but I do enjoy the slightly larger fish.
My clowns are actually from my first tank like 8 years ago that I gave to my buddy, and he wanted to shut his tank down so I just started this tank so I could get my first fish back :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Stunning man! Im pumped to start getting my first few corals soon. Last time I didn't know anything about what I was doing and tried growing corals with a led strip light from petco.... I could grow GSP but that's it :face-with-tears-of-joy: I got cheap black boxes this time but it all goes well then I could probably convince the wife to get me some nice birthday presents lol
