Need quick help on RO/DI solenoid

Help gang!

I want a RO/DI solenoid to open up once a day for a prescribed amount of time to replenish the fresh water reservoir that feeds top-off water through my kalk stirrer. Currently, the RO/DI filter and booster pump kick on and off pretty often, which I don't think is good. I just want it to replace the used up water (about 1-2 gallons a day maybe) a few times a week or maybe once a day.

I purchased an auto aqua solenoid that has a DC fitting at the end, but no power source. I guess what I'm looking for is a power source that I could plug in to an outlet on my EB8 and control with my Apex. I do not have an EB832 with the 1link port, and I'd rather not have to purchase a 1link module if I can get around it.

Does anyone have an example of a dc adapter that will work with this, or can I re-purpose one and wire it into the solenoid myself?

That's what I'd do. I have dozens of DC adapters sitting in a drawer, one of them would probably work. Be sure that voltage, amperage and polarity match, of course.

By the way, just as a minor point, it's not the 1Link port you would use for something like this, but rather a 24V port, which is directly controllable. Both the EB832 and the 1Link module have both types of ports. (That's where the name 832 comes from: 8 120VAC, 3 1Link, 2 24VDC outlets.)

This part worries me. Does the inlet tube have a float valve cut-off inside the reservoir? You might want redundancy even on that - a float switch for Apex to cut power to the solenoid when the reservoir is full.
So three layers: time limit, electronic float switch, physical float valve.

Oh yes, it has a float switch now, and I can add an optical switch as well for the extra redundancy
