Hi everyone recently bought a Roma 125 this week as my tank started leaking which then started to pour out from the back and was wandering what skimmer to use as my old tunze 9004 doesn't quite fit and is too big.

Look into one of the @IOAOI skimmers. They're available on Amazon and great skimmers. Several sizes to choose from.

I dont know much about them but I was looking at reef octo its advertised as room friendly like 4 inches

The problem I have is I had to buy a tropical tank quickly and it has a rim around it. I have seen a small tunze and sicce shark and a TMC nano skimmer.

Ok I have an Eshopps which will go over the rim no problem , About 4.5 inches needed but in short supply since f tariffs

I researched them this morning . Unless you can tell me different they all say " not for rimmed tank " bummer nice prices worth any gamble

I think the Shark SKIMMER 150 might be a better fit as it sticks out more than Magnus one. I don't want to start drilling and cutting my new tank rim.

Defiantly no cutting of rim. That's suicide However there could be an effective approach if you want a certain brand over another and don't want to compromise. I mount my lights by using 1 by 4 attaching it to my stand with a bracket . high enough above the back of the tank to accept the mounting assembly of the lights. I see no problem doing that with a skimmer

Having checked again I just found out I might need the Shark SKIMMER 300 as I have a medium bioload. Or doesnt that really matter.
