Looking for your help,
After adding some liverock from another reefer, I found a hitchhiker snail. I apologize for not having a picture, but it is in the sump, and I haven't been able to get a decent angle on it.

Description:
SIZE: It is about 5/8" long
SHELL: It has shell like half a turtle shell or a shield on its back, so it can't retract into it obviously, it almost looks like a slug <I've never seen a snail like it
COLOR: Brownish
BEHAVIOUR: So far it eats algae off the glass like other snails, and is obviously a snail of some sort or slug due to antannae or feeding behaviour (snail mouth)

Anyone know what it is? I'll try to get a pic!

Sounds like a stomatella snail to me. They are usually hitchhikers and are good guys (but someone else can back me up on this). :)

That's why I love this forum!

I checked out google images and it is indeed a stomatella! Thank you so much! He gets to stay!

They're good for the cuc on your tank and want harm nothing. I've got two in my tank that I didn't put in it and I watched how they reproduce last week. They both went to a high point in the tank and started letting out puffs of what looked like smoke. The female was releasing eggs and the male was releasing sperm to mix together in the tank.
