If I can't delete it? Here's the question, this tank was taken down completely cleaned by previous owner. The live rock was placed in a can under circulation for a couple weeks. I acquire the tank and set it back up adding special grade live sand. Highest ammonia level I've had is .5. I didn't expect much of a cycle? Those are GSP on a rock that he had attempted to eliminate unsuccessfully. I have zero nitrates and nitrites! Tank is 18 days old now. Should I wait are add some nitrates? Obviously the GSP is alive and well.. TYA!Im struggling with posting! Lol , how do I delete this?
Added Brightwell Aquatics Micro Bacteria first 14 days. Been feeding four fish twice a day frozen 50/50. LFS is very reputable reef shop in my area and they have been testing the water once per week as well as my self. I use their RODI mix. Last PO4 was .1. 0 nitrites and nitrates. You added the rock, did you add anything else to the tank? Like bottled bacteria or ammonia or a pinch of fish food? What test kit are you using?
Oh, I misunderstood you, sorry. This is a cycled and functioning tank, and you have corals, which will consume nitrate (or more precisely, they consume the elements before it breaks down into nitrate). You can feed your fish more, or add nitrate, but I'm not familiar with this so I can't advise, but this thread from yesterday discussed zero nitrate and how to increase.
