Hello All. So I have a newer tank. I had it up since December. About 3 weeks ago I dumped some fish in. 2 blue damsels, 2 three stripe damsels, and 6 Green Chromis. I lost 3 fish which was kind of expected....

My issue is that I put in 6 Chromis. 1 died, but 2 of them went into the tank and haven't really moved from their hiding spot. they just sit there all the time. they never swim around the tank, they just sit in hiding. I didn't acclimate (slow drip) the water when I placed the fish in the tank, I did allow the bag to sit in the tank before taking the fish out. I fear that these fish can be doing damage to my tank if they are sick or stressed. I must add that 1 of the active Chromis does go visit these 2 often but they still don't move around. The 1 inactive Chromis stays in the vertical position, and neither of the 2 moves more than 3 inches throughout the day.

Should I just remove them from my tank? By this being a new tank, I don't want to cause any early and unnecessary issues for my tank over 2 Chromis. Please advise me thanks!

Unless they are dead then they are not going to cause issues. Leave them be and let time work things out.

I think you need to do research on how to acclimate new fish so it does not happen in the future. The need temperature and water parameter to be close to your tank from water in the bag. What are the parameters on your new tank? Have your tank cycled?
