I bought this hammer 10 days ago and it’s just been getting worse and worse. I have a perfectly healthy purple tip right next to it so I’m not sure why it’s dying.
Calcium 420
Phosphates 0.034
Nitrates 0.04
Alk 8-9
Temp 79

Salinity .1025

Maybe it doesn't like the flow there? Or, maybe it came from a system with higher Nitrates? .04 on Nitrates is too low IMO. Especially with PO4 at .03.

Did you dip it before placing it in the tank? I would at least do a lugols dip. Inspect it carefully for pests And maybe get it away from that other hammer until you find out what’s wrong.

No dip, I never have pest probs with this vendor, but maybe I’ll give it a go
