Im looking into noopsyche lights, I really like the shimmer of the kessil I have on my biocube but I was lucky and got that second hand! Dont have the budget to get the big version for my tank

Oh yeah, kessil shimmer is awesome! Noopsyche lights should fit the cutouts fairly well, you might need to retrofit it a bit with a different wood bracket or 2. Those are also adjustable so you can dial the intensity back a ton with them so the eels feel comfortable with the upgrade tooIm looking into noopsyche lights, I really like the shimmer of the kessil I have on my biocube but I was lucky and got that second hand! The app is pretty annoying, BeanAnimal created a profile generator so I usually set up the config in there, connect to the light via wifi, and upload the config. I wish you could do everything in the app but it's just not user friendly.
If this is for fish only, why not do some kind of freshwater light? Hygger and NICREW make some good lights, you could even get a couple of shorter ones and have them light from the front of the tank to the back rather than really long ones that go side to side. It would be much cheaper.

Hum. That isnt a bad idea. I like a little bit of blues for the tang’s colors to pop but I could probably get that with the two red sea lights I still have and go back to my idea of blending the two. Are those just regular lights or plant grow lights?? The Fw equipment changed so much since I was last in it!

Ah cool! Ill look into them! I never did plants when I did FW just fish. Mostly for my 19/20 year old goldfish!

How hard is it to connect new lights to existing lights? I dont have the funds to get all at once, more like one a paycheck. Is it easy to add and sync a new light to an existing one??

So I thought I would update yall. All my red sea lights work… even the one that took a swim. Was not expecting that, just tried all 3 to see which one didn't work to put two lights up temporarily… well all three turn on! I still really like the idea of the noopsyches and the shimmer! Love the way my biocube looks with that kessil… maybe one day Ill upgrade the lights!
I have been a big fan of AI for years, they weren’t too expensive, but not cheap either. Recently, I went back to my roots and went with a Current USA Orbit IC 72” for my 180. It’s a FOWLR tank, so I didn’t have the need for crazy PAR readings. I love them! They are simple and have a great white/blue mix. The app is awesome and the connection is the easiest! I am not sure if you will need 1 or 2 with your tanks depth, but you can always buy one and see how you like it. I liked my Current USA so much I bought 2 others to replace the lights on my 90 and second 180.
