I totally understand that also I was burnt on a skimmer once and have purchased new ever since. You'll have to post pics and PM me when you get everything going.
Sorry for your loss. My wife and I get very upset when we lose a fish or coral. It really bothers us. We take it very personal and try to read all we can and get the best advice we can so it doesn't happen again. We name everything in the tank and consider them part of our family. Then it still happens again. It seems like that is part of the hobby that people typically do not talk about. Hope you feel better today.
From reading your posts, I feel like you do a great job and care about the animals in your tank.
Have fun reefing!
Apparently we also need Kirk's knack for getting back out of whatever trouble he's gotten himself into. And a fair bit of courage.
Cook the rock sorry about that spell check using tapatalk.
I had a good friend that got me started with a 75 main display and a 55 refugium and its has saved me more than I can say. So when I added a 34 solana to my collection it was easy because I had learned the 5 key very well.
But I learned that we can't be like Capt Ahab hunting the White Whale but more like Capt Kirk and enjoy the uncharted territory and stay away from the green women and men haha.
Patience is a virtue. Or, in my case, a necessity. It's easy to be patient when you're a poor reefer.

I know exactly how you feel.
That last comment made me laugh XD and for what it's worth, I never liked Picard much.
Thanks for the encouragement, guys. I really do think I'll have to press the 50 back into service. It's going to require I buy some more equipment, so it could take a while. It does bother me that I'll have to do that, since I want to upgrade to the 125 soon anyway...hmmm.
That's great to hear:). That's why the forum is also a community that takes care of one another and supports during the rough times and begs for frags during the good ones :). As said earlier please keep us updated on the progress WITH PHOTOS and always ask that why we're all here. Take care.

My tank thread's in my signature, I think. :)
