I have o nitrates & .03 phosphates. I am building my fish base. Corals need to color up. BRS recommended Brightwell's Neo Nitrate. I purchased this and don't understand the directions.

Anyone using this? Any advise will help.

"1 ml NEONITRO will increase the nitrate concentration in 1 US-gallon (~3.8 L) by ~5 ppm; 1 drop from plastic bulb pipette (enclosed within bottle) will increase the concentration in the same volume of water by ~0.25 ppm."

If you want to use this product (I prefer a DIY of sodium nitrate so I know the quality and purity of what I'm using), I'd add 4 drops per gallon of aquarium water (1 ppm nitrate) each day and see what that does for nitrate after a week.
