I purchased three peppermint shrimps to deal with my aptasia problem. Looks like they did the job because I don't see any more aptasia. Two nights ago in the evening I see them going after my acans. Those **** peppermint shrimps. Yesterday took out most of my live rocks so I can catch them. Caught them and placed them in another tank. Put the live rocks back in the tank and notice my coral frags are in distress. There was a detritus storm. while I was catching the shrimps. Most of my montis and chalices are bleaching out. what the heck is going on!!!! Most of my palys look OK but everything else is going to hell.

What is going on!!! My tank was really doing well too. It's so upsetting.

I think you popped a nitrogen bubble!
Usually interrupting your sand bed does this, by moving all your rocks I'm sure you did this. Do what Alex said and you shall be GLORIOUS!

Why not catch them with a trap instead of taking out all the rocks? Usually shrimps are the first to go for the bait in a fish trap?
