Nem exposing guts through the side?

Hey All,

I'm stumped and hoping someone has an idea... Finally got a good look at what I thought was sand/rubble attached to a new nem..

...turns out it's guts...

Not sure how that happened, ideas?

Only thing I can think of is that it got into a fight somewhere along the way... but just wanted to make sure it's not some odd nem disease. It shares a tank with 9 other nems. So, that would be catastrophic if it were a disease.

Foot was torn somewhere during chain of custody, likely when someone was trying to remove it from a holding tank.

I would separate the clownfish from the nem for awhile, at least til a little bit after the nem heals.
