Nem for the Clowns

A while ago I had a pair of occelaris clowns and a long tentacle anemone. Three problems, long tentacles nems don't usually host LTA and tank raised occelaris clowns don't seem to be the most likely to host anything except powerheads, the top corners of the tank and possible some zoanthids. The other problem is that my tank was too small for an anemone. The LTA posted up under an MP10 and my son got ahold of the controller one day, cranked it up to 100% and pow! there went the LTA.

You hit it right on the money my clown does exactly that. Wish he would host it I'm just hoping nature will take its course

Yes, that is an E. quadricolor.

If it is moving around a lot, something is off.

FYI, the clowns being tank breed doesn't affect them being hosted or not.
The issue with ocellaris and percs (( the 2 most common clowns that are tank breed )) is that they are commonly associated with E. quadricolors, not a natural combo. Their natural anemones are some of the hardest to keep, so many don't have that combo.

By moves a lot I mean he's in the same spot but opens on either side of the rock he's stuck on...so what would be a good nem for it and is it bad to have two different nems in the tank? I heard that sometimes nems try to cancel each other out with chemicals they release, is this true?

I, personally, have never had good luck mixing different species of anemones. No issues with different color morphs of the same species.
