Does this guy look hungry again? He just had some brine shrimp last night and ate it up and just saw him like this

It’s bleached so I’d say it’s looking hungry for light

It looks like a condy anemone and looks correct to me. It's not like a bubble tip anemone. Completely different color and species.
What does the species of the anemone have to do with anything ?

yeah looks like it. Throw some pellets, silverside or more mysis. they need variety too.

Of all the news I have or had they have never liked pellets! If any thing I almost killed my Sherman bta because a few pellets fell on it. Silver side pieces or mysis.

Definitely not a bubble tip . If its hungry it will catch bits of frozen food from the water. My bubble tips loved flake but only scraps left over from feeding the fish. Same with frozen food. You can target feed them but not too much. I could be wrong but I think it is a mula anemone. Good luck going forward

Guy above is correct it's a condylactis anemone or a Mexican Pink tip.

Nah color is spot on. That's just how this species of anemone look. Nems move themselves around to find their best conditions so if he didn't like the light or flow he'd go to where he likes it took him a couple days to get his spot just right

Thanks for the info

What visual cues do you guys see which makes it look hungry?

There are non. They can live off light alone. Food is extra. So if it’s sad looking it needs light.

Here is a think about them though. Sometimes you need to manually move them. Almost lost one because it would not move into correct lighting spots. It would move under a rock shelve and not know how to get back out into light. I moved it manually and it turned out to be fine. Remember they don’t have brains to fully understand or ration correctly. And they get stuck in areas they should not be. And end up dying. So sometimes you need to intervene.

Thank you!. This "thing" was not in my brain and now it is. 😀

Besides this topic, you propose something I am going to search evenings for.

Again, thanks... Very interesting.

I try and feed anything with mouth 1-2x a week. Torches, RFA, BTA, elegance, hammers, all get mysis+benereef 1-2x a week.

They don't NEED it, but they like it, and I find they grow better and are happier in the long run.
