Neptune Apex - Fusion

Just an FYI..

Spoke with neptune systems last night and they told me Fusion is closed beta right now. It wi be available at the end of this week as open beta to everyone who wants it, then they will start releasing it in small groups as early as next week out of Beta.

This will be awesome!

How is this going I just hooked up my apex and updated to the 4.31 firmware can I use the fusion or do I have to do the rediculas router entries to acces my apex over the net. How does it work haven't found any info on how to use fusion just articles talking about how much easier it will be to use for Internet access.

When I spoke with them, they told me the the firmware was going to be available for fusion. They didn't tell me that you get the firmware, but you still don't get access to Fusion. My bad

Best way to update your Firmware and Web for your Apex is hardwired from your PC to the router to the apex or laptop wired to router to apex don't do WiFi you will get your base unit stuck in upload mode which can be a pain. Also Neptune has a very strong support community that will help with in a few hours on any subject, its a must join if you have a apex plus youll find ALL your looking for there. here is the address:

Will this update be useful to only LED owners or will it be helpful to everyone?

I was under the impression that this update was to only improve the control fro LED owners. I may be incorrect though.

Your correct and it installs the fusion updates which you'll have to uncheck once you update but these are also pieces of foundation that you'll need when they release the new firmware and web interface soon that's (suppose to) release in a few months. I've found that you can have little issue when you depend on the main update and skip the smaller updates even if some them may not pertain to you.
