Just want to make sure I am not crazy. I have found Neptune customer support to be essentially non-existent

I wouldn't say you are crazy but I've had the opposite experience. In fact I recently submitted a ticket via email on January 24th and had a reply the next morning / 25th. I replied, got same day response, tried their suggestion, they had followed up a couple days later when I forgot to reply/update, and I later said it was resolved.

I don't know what to say other than two hobbyist using support with different experiences.
