So - just spilled some water and it hit one of my leak detectors. I’ve dried it really well and it is still showing as sensing water - are they single use?
if it’s soaked, might need to open it up and dry it off in rice or something.

Ok so unscrew it the make sure it’s dry and put in rice if needed.

That’s what I’d recommend. When you open it up, you’ll notice it is a “dumb” circuit; just two wires connected to a circuit board that zig zags. There is no electronic component to break (though it can rust a bit over time with repeated exposure to salt water). Literally just checks if there is conductivity between the traces (water) :)

In addition, I always put my leak detectors on a napkin to avoid false positives due to condensation or humidity,

Will definitely do the napkin - great idea!

Leak detectors are not single use. It is a very good idea to put them onto a napkin or paper towel.
