Buyer Beware!!

As this individual is selling a number of items on our community website, I think it is important to share my experience with others so they know of the possible situation they may find themselves in. I purchased a Neptune Trident from this person and they indicated that it was in good working order. They shipped the electronic device filled with opened reagents inside of it. Of course, the open reagent bottles spilled all over the electronic device and now it will not function or start. I have contacted them multiple times on this matter including pictures of the liquid damaged box, the fluid filled bag that the trident was in, etc. They had been very responsive and even responded to my initial email about the situation. Now that I have indicated that I would like to return the item, they have gone silent. I have purchased lots of used reef gear over 17 years of reefing so I understand somethings just break in the mail, don’t work as you hopped, etc. However, I have never expected someone to send an electronic device filled with open bottles of fluid. If things had gone wrong in the past, the seller has offered to split the costs or something. Never complete silence.
