When the trident primes the sample line via the configuration menu, does it fill up the cuvette during the process? I was thinking about priming ro/di water when changing reagents to rinse out the system. Anyone done this before? if so, what's the trident's rating for water temperature?

Yes. You can try this, but honestly - if you really want to clean the cuvette you need to take the unit apart, remove the black insulation tape from the cuvette and clean it out with a Q-tip swapped with RO. There's a YouTube video that details this process.
