After two years of smooth, consistent running, my trident started throwing various errors last week, no sample. not sample A, etc. I noticed a change in noise coming from the dose pump, so I thought it was time to give it a service. Purchased a DIY service kit for $100 (UK!) and got to work yesterday. Run the setup task, and all seems good; the cuvette fills, and empties several times to prime the lines, but then the same high-pitched noise starts again - On closer inspection, I notice the pump isn't turning but just squealing! Pull the power and remove the pump head, then test again to see that even without the head, the pump doesn't run. It looks like my trident pump has a fault! Has anyone else had similar issues, and is there a simple fix? (I'm out of warranty)
The funny thing about my week without trident-controlled dosing ... I've used my Hanna tester every day, and my DK has never been so stable, with 7+ days of 7.9 at every test!
