Just getting started on this. Have the tank ordered and stand is being built, but I am at least 3-4 weeks from even getting it wet.

  • 135 gallon custom tank, starphire front, dual corner overflows (1.5" drain, 1" return) (72x18x24). I wish I could have done 24" depth, but just didn't have the room, and didn't want the extra water weight + volume for water changes.
  • custom stand+canopy, built to wife-spec
  • Trigger systems sapphire 39" sump
  • RO Elite 200 INT skimmer
  • Vectra M1 return
  • 2x MP40 QD for flow (I already bought one of these to improve flow in my 55. This thing is amazing!)
  • ReefLink
  • Caribsea special grade (not sure how much yet)
  • probably 75lbs dry rock, plus the rock I have in my 55

Already have a Smart ATO, so that's covered.

This brings me to lighting...

My initial plan was an ATI sunpower 6x80 fixture. I have been toying with the idea of either 3 Hydra 52HDs or 4 Hydra 26HDs though... I will probably just make a separate thread on this.

One of my main priorities is reducing sound (hence the DC pumps) and light leakage (hence the canopy).

Looks good. Following.
Who is building the tank? Price? I am looking into a 60x24x24.

I am having it built through my LFS. Not sure exactly who is doing it, but I have seen their work in his shop at least. I know they are based in California, but I think they don't build directly for the public.

The tank was $850 drilled with overflows and starphire front.

I looked at building a tank the same size you are looking at, but it isn't a standard size anywhere I was looking, and the cost of a custom size nearly doubled the price.

Really the only picture I have of anything yet, but I'm already super excited!

Looks like a nicely built stand :)
