Hello, been researching how to get into saltwater aquariums for over 3 months. Felt comfortable enough to get a tank and some equipment. Looking to add clowns, fire fish, cardinals and maybe some green chromis. I’ll also be getting beginner friendly macroalgea like Pom Pom. I’m avoiding corals because they seem a bit complicated, maybe down the line I’ll add some. Looking forward to learning more about the hobby and meeting cool people.

Good choice with the 75g. Its big enough to be stable and a nice footprint for aquascaping but small enough not to be overwhelming.
I have a 75g that is powered with a canister. Its just over a year old (although it was transferred from a 56g tank). I love it.

Yes, it’ll be a bit more forgiving with that size if I do mess up on parameters. I’m glad you’re liking the 75 gal.

What are your plans for filtration?

I bought the Fluval FX4 canister I was going to get the 407 since it fits better inside the stand but decided against it. What are you running?
