My local pet store delivered, on his way back from la he stopped by and gave me my tang
He's about 1.75 inches to about 2 inches.
I decided to put him in my 90.
He's in a qt cage in the tank to watch him.
I don't qt my fish bc I find the transfer to be just as hard on them.
I've lost more then one achillies tang that way....
So he's in a cage already trying to pick and algae.

Thanks for looking, and remember if u don't have anything nice to say don't say anything....

Sorry for the bad shots

Awesome size, I love me some tiny fish. Well except when they fit through the overflow :)

I built a cage for him out of white frag racks.
It's a good size just for a week or two it will do.
I just want to make sure no one wants to pick on him!
They are expensive that's all I have to say about that.

He is small but I have fish even smaller in the tank and they all do fine.
But don't worry I'm pretty sure for the next few months I will check the sump every morning to make sure no one went down, and that he's still alive...

I feel like a new parents I keep looking at him, I don't even want to leave to pick up my wife from work

Sweet new fish! One of the holy grails for many people out there. I love how small he is. :)

That would be the only size I would buy if I were dropping that much coin on a fish. Absolutely jealous of you right now.

Such a tiny cutie!!

It's much easier to medicate fish in a fw tank, so I don't QT rummynose tetras for a similar reason. They shock to death easily - you don't want to freak them out any more than you have to. They don't have a good survival rate, but they seem to do much better if put straight in with at least one established rummynose that is healthy and confident.

I will be quarantining just about any SW fish like my life depended on it, though. Once a disease, even the common ich parasite, gets into your reef tank it's heck to get it out again.

Thank you.

I woke up at 530 and went to go check on the tank.

Guess who is still a live!!!! My gem tang.
I really need to name him.

Nice fish:) I have a rule about naming fish, must be atleast 6 months in the tank before they get a name. Whenever I break the rule they always die...

Lol well I guess he will just go name less...
I out half a sheet of see weed in there last night and today it's all gone.
I will put another sheet in tonight and I hope it's all gone. I want to see his stomach so big it looks like its going to pop
